Morel and Spot Prawn Dinner

May 18th is a time for celebration. It is the Victoria Day long weekend, the annual Spot Prawn Festival in Cowichan Bay and the date of our Morel and Spot Prawn Dinner here on the farm. We will feature the best products of the spring, local seafood, asparagus and of course morel mushrooms. Come join our very special dinner event.


Rice-paper wrapped prawn skewers with morel mousse

Morels stuffed with chopped spot prawns, chilies and mint


Spot prawn chowder with morels, sweet cicely and new potatoes

Salad of asparagus and spot prawns, compressed sushi rice morel cake, black bean and fermented garlicĀ  vinaigrette

Halibut, fresh wasabi-panko crust, spot prawn relish, morel bread pudding

Rhubarb and wild ginger custard tart, grand fir “mushroom” meringue, warm chocolate sauce
