Deerholme Truffle Dinner – English Comfort

 

Sat­ur­day December 14th (5 pm — 9 pm)

 

Join us for a fragrant and delicious dinner based on truffles, wild mushrooms and stellar local ingredients. We will delight your taste buds with local seafood, foraged foods and beef – heightened with truffles from the Pacific Northwest and Imported from Italy and France. The cottage will be filled with intoxicating aromas.

This dinner is also a fundraiser for the local Cowichan Food Bank and a portion of the proceeds will be used towards purchasing healthy foods for local families in need. A gift that warms hearts and fills bellies at the same time.

 

Starters:

Welsh Rarebit with Stilton Cheese and truffles
Pickled Oysters and Spot Prawns with truffled pear chutney

Dishes:

Terrine of Game and Truffle with pickled mushrooms and quince puree, Cumberland sauce

Cauliflower and Cheddar soup with truffle meringue

Roast Prime Rib of Island Beef, truffle and grand fir salt, porcini yorkshire and vintage port Jus
– served with truffle potato gratin and roasted root vegetables

Apple and Blueberry cake with English toffee sauce and vanilla bean ice cream

Cost is $90/person – additional donations to the food bank are welcome
