Cherry Point “Pop Up” – Latin America Flavours

This will be a special evening of great local wine and food. Deerholme Farm comes to Cherry Point Vineyards to create a menu of Latin American flavours paired with the wines of the estate. The evening will be a memorable mix of food, music and good times all in the spirit of the generous South American culture.

A highlight of the night will be the launch of the new and exciting Lagrimas Nagras (“Black Tears”) Wine. A flagship blend for the winery that will set new parameters for the potential of Island red wine.

Ecuador: Stuffed baby heirloom potatoes with bean puree, roasted garlic and pork crackling

Colombia: Rice balls with sheep’s cheese and caramelized onion

Plates:

Peru: Grilled octopus on a salad of olives, potatoes and anchovies

Mexico: Roasted Squash and wild mushroom soup with mole sour cream

Argentina/Colombia: Roasted whole Striploin with baked tamale, corn and peanuts and Colombian cheese-tomato sauce

Brazil: Chocolate and coconut rice pudding, blackberry port whipped cream
